If you are totally paranoid(like me) simply set up a DDUTIL macro to toggle between "xvtr" and ant 1 on the RX antenna port. I use a Wellbrook ALA 100 preamp loop RX ant line 22 toggles bet…1 -

One thing I do is close all connected programs including DAX and CAT. Probably just a talisman behavior but I like the idea of going commando 73 W9OY1 -

Depends on the topology. If you put the radio in a closet in a rack or 100 miles away at the base of a tower why would you want to spend an extra grand for a front panel? 73 W9OY1
