The supplied cable is short. Try 30 feet of inexpensive Cat 5e before moving to more exotic and expensive solutions.1 -

According to Sec. 7.1 of the 6400M/6600M user guide, “the Anderson Powerpole connector contains 45 Amp pins to minimize voltage drop during transmit.” I am guessing the 6300 is the same.2 -

However, with the Maestro you lose the capability to have a large screen mirror the face of the 8 inch Maestro screen.1 -
