  From your WIFI in the closet, can you do a CAT 5 hook-up to the router? Thatwould provide your connection. Another possibility could be setting it up at afriend's house to get it activated.

  According to the manual, the external display connector supports 800 x 600 or 800 x 450 resolution. Not cutting edge to me.
