Very cool! Now I can delete the TNF's I was using as markers for the SSB segments of the bands!

The zoom feature is pretty cool.  Well done, Flex.  Installed 2.3.9 without any hassles.  5 minutes after upgrade was making contacts on 20M FT8.

You also have the S and B feature (-) (+) on the main 6400M, 6600M display.. You need to touch the screen next to the main frequency pointer and these 4 functions will pop up. Remember this is only when on a designated Ham Band. On a non ham band you only get the (-) and (+) sign to zoom in and out...

Last night I was listening to a few SWL stations on 7 MHz,, and they were fading real deep!!! This was the ideal opportunity to test out the Flex SAM feature.. I also used my Drake R8B, AOR AR7030, Lowe HF-150 Europa, AOR AR3030, Icom IC-R8600 and even the Sync Detector in my Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark V, one of the rare HF radios that actually have a AM Sync.. For me the Gold standard for AM Sync was my Sony CRF-V21 but I since sold that to a Super Collector in China.. In reality I sold the Sony and got the Flex...

The AM Sync in the Flex is not that bad.. It is less affected when you have the NR, NB engaged... I would say the winner for true reproduced fidelity was the Drake R-8B radio, the Flex was a close second,, followed by the AOR7030 and the AOR AR3030 and the Icom IC-R8600 radios... All in the 8 to 10 range on a scale of 1-10... It was fun to test all of these radios against the Flex....

For me the disappointment was the Icom radio.. Again scoring an 8 is not bad but the Flex scored a 9.8 next to the Drake 10.0!

Was hoping for some HF this Sunday, but the band is not that great,, so maybe I will go see the ROCK jump around a burning skyscraper with only one leg!! Naturally IMAX only!!! :-)
