Yellow frequency marker follow VFO when switching remotely?

When I select a slice in the panadapter window the frequency marker turns YELLOW and RED when its not selected.... But when I try and do that with the FlexControl via DDUtil the YELLOW marker doesn't follow the selected slice, making it hard to know what slice your on. This will be even harder with 4/8 slices up on the screen. So would it be possible add this request to your list of features? Thanks, Dennis, k0eoo

This is a DDUtil issue. The yellow VFO line designates the slice is "active" aun under the control of the mouse scroll wheel and the SmartSDR FlexControl.

I don't think it is just a DDUtil issue. Logging programs such as N1MM show the same effect. Switching from A to B or B to A does not change bring the focus of the mouse or Flex Control with it. You have to then click on the vertical line for the slice to manually tune. Very cumbersome and causes issues. If I change to VFO B and then use the flex control to tune I end up changing VFO A instead because that's where the flex control focus stayed. 73 Greg

This is indeed a DDUtil function, but the FlexLib API has no functionality to do this. I've asked for it, but was rejected I think.

It happens with logging programs connected directly to the SmartCAT port bypassing DDUtil. At least it did for me using N1MM.

Hi Tim, some how my IDEA got changed to a problem, I don't understand how that happened... So are you saying this is not an idea Flex is interested in adding at some time?

In light of the above comments is this still only a DDUtil issue? Soon I expect Flex will offer additional Flex control knob functions but isn't this still an issue with Logging Programs such as N1MM and DX4WIN, not to mention all the others....

The radio is doing exactly what it is instructed to do by a third-party client (CAT / DDUtil). This is not a change that needs to be made in SmartSDR, but a change in how the third-party client interacts with the radio.

Steve, K5FR, said: "This is indeed a DDUtil function, but the FlexLib API has no functionality to do this. I've asked for it, but was rejected I think." So Steve is incorrect, and there is a way to do this without changes to the FlexLib API??

K5FR is correct in that it is a DDUtil function. And for any third-party application to tell the radio to do something is a FlexLib API function. Regarding the feature request, I do not see a request in the developer's database requesting this feature for FlexLib.

Hi Steve, Tim says they don't have your request, maybe you can resubmit?
