WSPR

Since installing 1.4 I found that WSPR no longer works. I had a friend install it, so I now need to figure this out and try to fix it. PTT works OK. I have Log4OM installed and it's using COM4 for CAT control. It works fine.
1. Do I need to create another COM port for CAT control for WSPR or can they share it?
2. When I go into the COM port configuration I can see where you designate a COM port for PTT, but not for CAT.
3.  The video on YouTube suggests to keep trying com ports until it works. What am I missing?

I have a 6500 and ran WSPR 2 nights 4 bands RX (80,40,30 &20) with TX on 40 at 5 watts. All worked well. I did go through all the setups again insuring the correct DAX for each band and I use COM 4 for control.

OK Dan
I'm just trying to determine if I can share COM4 with LOG4OM (for CAT) or how to create another CAT COM port?

Is your PC clock synced to the correct time?
Have you got all the audio devices configured to use a 48000 sample rate?
VAC, PowerSDR, and WSPR should all be set to a 48000 sample rate.
Have you tried MME, WDM-KS, etc. drivers in PowerSDR? one of them is probably better than the rest. In my experience MME seemed to always work.

I ended up having to reinstall WSPR and several other programs after upgrading to Windows 10.  My darn Oracle Virtual Box still doesn't work.  I just haven't had the time to work on it.

I highly recommend a fresh install of Windows 10 and then install each app you need on your system. Once done, make a fresh image and your set to go.  Upgrades have never really worked well for me.  I guess I just have way too much on my machine.  Shot, even the security system sw failed once I upgraded to Windows 10.....

I re-installed wspr but still no go. FreeDV and FLdigi is running ok. I know if I dont use F3K and go back to the old sound card drivers and my FT897D with its data port, it will be okay. I,ll have another go today and see what happens.
