Wish List for Future API Application Development

Noted below are a few API development applications that I would love to see implemented in the future. I know that some of these may be “pie in the sky” desires on my part but I would love to see what other users are identifying for their own API application wish list. Such API applications could either reside internally in the radio or externally. Knowing that API development could be time-consuming, I would also be willing to pay a “reasonable” fee to acquire such applications.

- To complement the CWX transmit capability, I would like to see someone develop an API related application that would do an excellent job of decoding morse code.

- To preclude the need for external applications similar to Fldigi, I would like to see someone develop an API related application that could decode and possibly transmit, PSK, RTTY, and other selected digital modes.

- To enhance the radio’s DSP functionality, I would like to see someone develop an API related application that would provide a much improved noise blanker and/or noise reduction capability.

- I would like to see someone develop an API related application that would permit me to easily use my iPad to operate my Flex-6500 either over my local LAN or eventually in a remote situation over the Internet. Such an application would eliminate the need for current applications similar to Teamviewer and Skype.

What are your ideas for future API application?

What I would like is for someone to post a video going through the process of using the Waveform API.  Installing the example of FreeDV would be a great YouTube video.  Thanks.

Some very good suggestions Gary, I would add the need for an API that would interface the Woodbox  Tmate-2 controller to the 6300 series without the need for added third party software.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
