Winlink Express Easy to setup

So today I happened to catch HamRadio 360 podcast on Winlink. I have played with it before just using telnet and the was a no-brainer but after hearing the podcast I thought what the heck let's see if I can make it work on my 6500. So in about 20 minutes I was on the air sending and receiving emails. I setup Winmor just like any other digi software and wham bam I was done. So now when the zombie Apocalypse hits I can send emails to my friends and family and tell them good bye! My hats off to Flex for having everything built-in to one box and not having to mess with any sound card boxes. Thank you Flex

Rory, Glad to hear. Its all good fun! I just sent an email to you on 40m using Winlink and my Flex 6500. I've also been using Winlink / Winmor for years on our boat.  Nice to have email when cruising out of VHF / WiFi range. At some point will upgrade the Icom 7300 aboard to a Flex with Maestro. Lots of RF noise from all the gadgets on a boat, so eliminating cables is good.
