Win 10 update

As with a lot of you guys, I updated Win 10, and now CAT/DAX programs are toast.  Instead of re-installing everything, is it possible to just delete the CAT/DAX programs and re-install just them, or will a clean install cure the problem?  Or, would it be possible to revert to 1.9.7?  I remember seeing detailed instructions for deleting everything, completely, but, as I failed 'filing 101,' can't find it.  Help finding those instructions would be appreciated.  I was able to survive all the previous updates to Windows 10, but this one was a beauty.  What happened that makes this one so bad?

WIn10 updated on my system and screwed up the com ports.  I used these instructions to repair flexvsp.  It was quick and easy, in my case.

Rich -  That worked. Thanks !

Tim -  Fixing DAX looks pretty daunting for someone not really comfortable fooling around in the technical side of things.  Is there another option?
