Why are radio settings not saved when I shut down the FLEX-6000?

The ability for the radio to remember previously set parameters after the FLEX-6000 is powered down is a feature called persistence. SmartSDR Preview versions have limited or "short term" persistence now if the radio is not powered off. Once the radio is powered off, all radio settings are reverted back to the factory defaults. Long term persistence, which is persistence after the radio is powered off, along with the ability to save sets of parameters as profiles or radio "personalities" is a feature that is scheduled to be included SmartSDR v1.1

The state of each slice Rx's control settings( freq, mode, BW, AGC-T, Decay time etc.) must be supported with v1.0. How frustrating would it be to the new user coming from PSDR or EIKY radios, if all these features reset to default when band changing or powering up? The user release of SSDR v1.0 would appear like a beta-version to regular users - especially if this very important feature is delayed for months.

This is a great conversation that's separate from the main topic, so I created a new topic to continue the discussion. Please reference the new topic here: Adding radio persistence capabilities
