Where is DAX Control Panel hiding?

I'm feeling like a dunce today.  For the first time since loading 1.4.3 I'm trying to open the DAX Control Panel (Windows 7/64,  Flex-6500, 1.4.3), and it is nowhere to be found.  The system tray, where I used to find it only has CAT, no DAX.  (I don't have the hidden tray activated, so it's not hiding there!)  If I right click the taskbar to set the notifications customization, it is selected to "Always show all icons and notifications in the taskbar," and DAX is in the list.  But no DAX visible.  Naturally, if I go to the start menu and select to start DAX it reports there is an instance aleady running.  How can I bring the control panel up without it showing in the system tray?  Thanks in advance for any pointers.  (Please don't ask if my PC is plugged in!)

    Have you rebooted?

It is in the tray, all the way to the right. Click on the UP arrow and open the "show hidden icons" and there it is.

Sometimes Windows does unexpected things.  Often, "explorer.exe" (the program that controls the desktop, NOT "iexplore.exe," the Internet browser) crashes and takes many of the tray icons with it.  This was pretty common with XP, but less so in 7, but it does happen.  Jeffrey's suggestion of rebooting will resolve this.  Or, if you don't want to do a reboot, right click on the task bar, select "Task Manager" and select and close "DAX.exe" manually, then go back to your desktop and start menu and restart DAX, it will probably reappear in the tray/notification area!

If you have closed it, you may have to open windows explorer and go back to "C:Program FilesFlexRadio SystemsSmartSDR v1.4.0DAX"" and open DAX.exe.

That did it - thanks, Greg.  You saved me a reboot!  Now I just need to remember this for next time it happens . . .

I'm sure rebooting would fix it, but I used Greg's tip and killed the process in Task Manager, then restarted it.  Worked like a charm.  Thanks, Guys!
