What is the current expectation for WAN (v2.0)???  Dayton, end of 2016, or sometime in 2017??? I have pre-ordered the Maestro. While operating on my LAN will be fun, I really look forward in showing off the 6700 across the internet.

It would be great to be able to use the Maestro directly via the Internet. Currently SmartSDR works great over both an L2TP remote access VPN as well as a bridged site to site OpenVPN. Obviously no-go over routed networks or straight IPSec VPN's due to the blocking of broadcast packets. The remote function built into SmartSDR is surprisingly quite resilient to the typical Internet anomalies of jitter and congestion.

When it happens, it happens. We all know that we can't rush the process. So far all the releases have been quite stable. FRS's process is obviously working, and I think they would like to see it released more than any of us.
