Virtual Audio Cable

I'm currently running SSDR 2.0.17 and SmartSDR DAX with my Flex 6700. I have some other SDR radios that need a virtual audio cable solution to route audio output to other software. I don't need to run multiple radios at the same time. My understanding is that SmartSDR DAX only works when a Flex is at one end of the virtual cable. Is there an alternative VAC solution that would work with my other radios? If I do co with an alternative VAC, can I replace SmartSDR DAX? If not, will I have problems running SmartSDR DAX and another VAC?

There are alternative's I bought VAC early on, when there weren't any other choices, and haven't bothered looking into any of the free alternatives.

I did find a list of alternatives with Google.

I hope the URL works.

Whatever you choose, be sure the driver is digitally signed by the developer and will install on Windows 10 Creator's edition. Ask if it's not clear from the Buy Now page for whatever product.

Good suggestions.  It seems like the most popular is VAC from Eugene Muzychenko. It's a commercial produc.

Hi Mark, I have been using VAC by Eugene Muzychenko for a long time with my Flex3k.
I can recommend this software, although yo have to pay for it. It runs under all my OS, Windows 7 32/64bit and Windows10 64bit.
I - experimentally - also tried it with my Flex6k5 and SmartSDR instead of SmartSDR DAX and it works.

On use of 4.51 I found issues with FT8 causing a wide bandwidth signal on the air.  Go with only 4.15 and it is fine but buy the product not the trial version. $25.00 is nothingn to a Flex owner right!

I agree.  I've been using VAC from Eugene for many years.  It's been stable on every OS, and it just works.  It's a little challenging at first to configure because it has so much flexibility and so many options.  But, once you figure it out you're all set.  I strongly recommend reading the manual.  It has lots of tidbits that you may not pick up just starting it and running with the default settings.
