It would be greatly appreciated if the Alpha testers would please publish a few informal videos showcasing the functionality of the 6400/6600 series radios.  My radio was ordered shortly following Xenia 2017, but I've learned that it will not ship for several more weeks.  While waiting, it therefore would be nice to see some videos showing these radios operating under current, real-world conditions.  Flex, are you amenable to testers posting such videos at this time?

Within the context of the alpha team NDA, we have requested that the alpha team members limit making videos of the new products until we have finalized the software.  The reason is so that we do not inadvertently set an implicit expectation by showing a feature of a software change that may not make it into the final released version of the software.

Thanks Tim.  I was of the impression that as of several days ago the software already was on the cusp of being finalized; also, it was my understanding that invoices are already being sent out for GA shipments.  Against this backdrop it seemed reasonable to speculate that the software had perhaps been finalized.

Think you'll be able to allow some of the testers to produce videos since features/functionality should be relatively stable considering the short time before launch? That would be a pleasant surprise to hold us over for the next few weeks.

If you are near my home QTH please drop me a note to coordinate a look & operate shack visit. The Flex-6600M and PowerGenius XL Amp are really awesome to operate, even pre-GA software.

Good question, but if true, would it not be simple to amend the NDA at this time?

Showing the gear is okay.

Of course an NDA, and certainly I’m not shooting videos nor are visitors going to shoot videos until the GA software is on my machine. In fact we will avoids any detailed pictures both to meet the NDA and out of professional respect.

So far visitors have had such fun going on the air in my little shack that they had to call me later to asked for a picture!

I wouldn’t do a formal presentation as that is the role of FRS to handle widely diseminated PR, but it isn’t secret either.
