Very long delay for Maestro to recognize my T-Mobile Hot-Spot

I am using a iPhone 7S serviced by T-Mobile for my Wifi Hot-Spot.  All of my Wifi enabled devices (iPad, laptop) work well and immediately recognizes the Hot-Spot.  When I power up the Maestro (1st generation), it can take from 5 to 7 minutes for it to recognize the Hot-Spot.  This is  with the iPhone sitting right next to the Maestro and strong cell signal.
I would appreciate any comments/suggestions for this issue.

What is the name of the actual hotspot?  Does it have any special characters in it?

It is named iPhone with no additional characters. I had seen previous posts regarding an added character. Not the case here

Even though my iPhone name did not appear to have any additional characters, I went ahead and changed the name.  Now I get instant recognition.  Thanks, Michael for pointing me in the right direction.
