After a few unforced errors as well as bothering Dudley and a few others, I was able to get the SPE 2K-FA connected to the 6500.  It is the first time that have implemented the automatic power set by band.   Was great combination the Flex and SPE are together.   Thanks to the Flex development team.

While I am glad you got it working I see no advantage to this direct connect method other then field use and no computer just using Mistro.

Do you have a write up or a checklist that you used?

It allows you to eliminate ddutil which I don't always want to use. Plus it allows you to set cat frequency by antenna output rather than by slice.

I get what it allows you to do Flex contest Rep showed me. If I was a Maestro user it would be great but I'm not. I do remote on occasion which works with Team Viewer or other remote programs.

DDutil I find is a very nice helper program and am satisfied with it's performance.
It allows me to Power my SPE Amp and various preprogramed Antenna and power outputs conditions also allows the HF Auto to tune control my rotor etc.

BTW I also spoke at length to SPE Rep that makes cables for the direct input.
