USB CAT Cable by Slice not working

I am trying to set up my 6700 for SO2R and have two external BPFs (FilterMax IVs) that are controlled by the radio. As someone pointed out on another thread, trying to control each BPF using the individual slice frequencies doesn't work. I know the setup is fine, because if I select the active or TX slice to control one of the BPFs, it works great.
The issue seems to be that the USB interface thinks the frequency of the slice is 0.00 MHz. I know this because if I set a slice to control one of the BPFs only if the frequency is 0.00 MHz, it will perfectly activate the correct BPF band for the way I have the hardware set up. So, this is a bug only with the interface software in SSDR v 3.0.27.
Unfortunately, there is no work-around. Each of the SO2R slices needs to control one BPF so that you can RX on B while transmitting on A (and vice-versa). Any of the existing methods can't do this without pulling the non-transmit BPF onto the wrong band.
I was wondering if there is a timeline to fix this issue?
Thanks,
Eric NC6K

I opened a support case for you on this.

Eric,
We are aware of this issue (#7627 USB Cable misbehaves when Slice is set as the Source). I don't have a good estimate of when we will have it fixed at the moment, but I can confirm that we have seen it and it is a bug.1 -
Mike and Eric,
Thanks. I didn't open a support request as someone had indicated they had already done so, but given the "radio silence" (pun intended), I figured I'd ask again. Also, with several big contests coming up, I'm bound to mess up and forget to manually set the BPF bands. Then I spend 10 minutes trying to figure out why my radio isn't working.

Michael, on version 2.5.1 I also noticed that under SOURCE drop down it says NONE but you can not select it. Not sure why you want to select none other than just disabling that cable but I thought I would mention it.
