Upgrade to 2.3.9 loses "something" over my VPN

This is a remote 6600 and trying to use SSDR over the VPN which was flawless with 2.2.8. Now when connecting via 2.3.9, everything comes up on the screen except the radio noise baseline never appears in the Panadapter.   Radio Transmits ok,  The slice and frequency flag are there but NO RX Baseline “static” across the bottom of the Panadapter ??????   Occasionally the S meter seems stuck on S8 even with no RX baseline shown.  The waterfall comes up but is blank.

I can connect and operate the remote RX all ok using Smartlink from here and also the SSDR program on the remote computer works ok.  It just seems something is lost over the ASUS VPN router to Router link.  I have rebooted the Routers already and also reloaded SSDR here on the Control PC.

Any ideas or known problem with this load over VPN?

Sounds like you are missing the VITA49 UDP data packets. Check your port forwarding for the UDP port 4993.

Also whatever ISP you are using from the remote end may be blocking fragmented UDP packets.

Thanks Dave for the suggestions.  Port forwarding is fine for 4993, the same as it has been.  I did rebuild it before rebooting the remote Router however.   wasn't there fragmented UDP packets right along? even with 2.2.8?

Using Fiber to the Home on both ends of the connection.  All the peripherals that I use to connect via the VPN to the remote are working fine.

Just retried to connect to the 6600 via VPN.  Connection comes up with the S meter stuck on S8  but the Panadapter and waterfall are blank.   I retried the connection again and the next time I connected it came upwith the flag and all freq info but there is a large white wedge cutting across the panadapter from top left to bottom right.   A check of the Network status , however, shows the connection latency but no packet activity.

I need to figure out how to take and attach a snapshot of the SSDR screen .

Windows has a screen shot utility built-in, it's called SnippingTool.exe.
On the Win 10 start menu it's at. Start Menu >> Windows Accessories >> Snipping Tool.

Sorry, I don't remember, how Win 7 did the same thing.
I'll try to google up some solution.

Larry look this over. Same utility it seems.

or ...

For Windows 7 ... Select the Start  button, then type snipping tool in the search box, and then select Snipping Tool from the list of results.

These utilities are not necessary... All versions of Windows support Alt-PrintScreen to capture only the active window as a graphic. (PrintScreen by itself captures the entire screen, or screens if you have multiple monitors.) After capture, you can paste the result into Paint or Photoshop to save it as a JPG.

thanks Craig...   Is it possible to capture just the selected SSDR screen off of my 3 monitors?   Dont need to send all 3 monitor info :)

Sorry, I just have never used this feature and at 70 I am not too old to learn!

Ok.  tried to connect to the remote 6600 using smartlink and the new 2.3.9 SSDR version i just loaded on my laptop.  I get about 2-3 seconds of proper operation then the screen drops back to what I described with my initial problem above.   except now Smartlink is also  failing me!
This isnt good :(

OK.   I dropped back to 2.2.8  and tested both Smartlink and VPN connection from 3 different computers and a Maestro...... NOW ALL OPERATIONAL AGAIN.

I will have to update the Radio with Ver 2.3.9 again and open  a HelpDesk ticket i guess.
