Unwanted traces in waterfall with FLEX-6500 while two slices active

This problem and I believe it to be a real problem, was first noticed when I added a second slice to the system. I had slice #1 on 50 mhz and then added slice #2 and
set it to 7 mhz. Since a picture  is worth multiple words please see the attached
image. Is this in spec? It's not a killer situation but a major nuisance to my pair of eyes.

First off, your top slice is on 50 MHz.  The bottom slice is on 7 MHz using the same antenna (SCU) Do you have the RF preamp on?  If you do then this is probably the cause of the small and VERY low level (less than -120 dBm) "spike" signals you are seeing.  You should never use the RF preamp below 20m unless you are in a VERY quiet radio noise location.

Just to be clear: when you say "below 20m", does that mean those bands towards 2m (or those frequencies that are lower the 14MHz). I'm thinking it means the former...

Below 20m means a lower frequency...30m, 40m, 60m...etc.
