Unable Line Mic with N1MM Voice Keyer

I'm unable to use a Line Mic along with N1MM DAX voice keyer for SO2R.  I can get the Mic to transmit or the DAX audio to transmit by themselves but can't use the Mic once DAX is selected.

I suspect that it might be because I am not using a hardware PTT but rather I use a CAT serial port DTR line for the Mic. I'm trying to accomplish SO2R with separate foot pedals, one for each VFO.  This works fine by itself but not with DAX selected.  If DAX is selected, it puts the 6700 into transmit but with no Mic audio.

Configuration is SSDR 3.1.8 with N1MM V1.0.8360.0

Anyone had luck with Mic audio and PTT CAT implemented foot pedals with DAX voice keyer?

    Ted,  Thanks for the reply.

I had already read through this description of N1MM which contains a how-to for voice keying, however, it does not use foot pedals for voice PTT.   Therefore it limits my other uses for this configuration.  My three uses of foot pedals to switch VFO's are:

    1. SO2R contesting (obviously)

    2. Participating/bridging two nets on different bands or frequencies.  (Don't need voice keying, but do need the footpedals for VFO switching)

    3. DXing with diversity antennas.  (Again, don't need voice keyer but do need foot pedals for VFO/antenna switching)

The N1MM approach fixes the problem for the first use only.  I need a solution that fixes all three.

I might add that my arrangement does work with VOX and the DAX voice keyer input.  Strange because Tim Ellison warned me that it wouldn't.  However, it doesn't seem to work with the foot pedals connected to the serial port PTT feature in CAT.
