I haveSO2R set using TX1 and TX2 and as I change bands theTX follows no problem.  Now I want to use my 6 meter amp and use TX3 for PTT.  I set TX3 for 6 meters in the setup and have a transmit profile set for 6 meters on TX3 but is it possible to have my 6700 chose TX3 when I go to 6 meters or must I manually change it to the 6 meter profile when on 6 meters??

1st- what version of SSDR are you running?
In the latest version 2 software, and in all version 3 software, you go to settings>>Transmit Band Settings and a matrix in separate window will pop up. Towards the right side look for the columns RCA TX1;  RCA TX2; RCA TX3 representing the RCA jacks TX1 ... TX3 in the back. Each row band is labeled down the left side. In the intersection of the row (band) and column (TX1 TX2 TX3 etc) is a check box. If the box is checked, the center pin of the associated jack on the back is grounded when the radio goes to transmit (PTT) and if hooked to an amp, it keys the amp. If you don't want to your amp to key on a specific RCA jack for a particular band, uncheck the box, If you want a particular amp to key on a band, then it needs a check mark.  In most cases, you don't want more than one amp to key on a band, so be sure to uncheck the associated checkbox of the amps you don't want getting the PTT. If you have all three TX1 TX2 TX3 checked for a particular band, all three lines will go to ground. The same matrix page also lets you set transmit power and in your case I would think, antenna out.

    Hope this helps

That’s the way I have it set BUTwhen I go to 6 meters SSDR still shows TX1or TX2 and I must use the pull down menu to select TX3 then it works but just selecting 6 meters does not force TX3 as the PTT for the amp

I am confused. Where are seeing it showing TX1 or TX2 after selecting 6 meters? And I don't know of a pull down to select TX3. Are you running an old version of SSDR?

If you look in your transmit window, right under TUNE PWR. There is a pull down window that gives you your TX profiles
