TX DAX Not Working

I am trying to configure N1MM to SSDR 2.0 (Flex 6700). I have a good wav file. If I set N1MM to play to my computer speakers, it sounds fine. I switch N1MM to play to the DAX TX Audio device. The TX Stream TX button is blue and it says streaming. When I play the wav file, the radio goes into TX and I see good levels on the TX Stream indicator, but no audio seems to make it to the radio. What did I change?  My 6700 audio is configured to use the radio's balanced input and DAX is turned on. The wave file is normal voice. The radio is in LSB.

I shut down N1MM and loaded MixW, without touching SSDR. PSK31 transmit works fine. I can't see any differences in the setup. Could it have something to do with soundcard sampling rates.

When you say DAX is turned on do you mean in the transmitter control panel (where you adjust mic gain, etc.) ? Is that DAX button lit?

Yes, DAX is on in the TX window. The button in the SmartSDR DAX window is blue. If I turn off DAX in the TX window, that button turns yellow, so it seem that SmartSDR and SmartSDR DAX are communicating.
