Hi Tim,

Following your instruction to contact my European dealer (Appello), I got the answer that they are waiting to get a file from the US. Looks like the ball is in your park again.

George, it is the responsibility of our distributors to modify any radio they sell to be compliant with the harmonized CE directives regarding transmit frequency limits for certain EU countries and Japan.  This is the primary intent of the TURF process.

Not every EU country requires radios sold to residents within their borders to have radios meet the harmonized CE directive.  In those cases, there may not be a TURF file for your specific country.  Luxembourg has not made having a TURF a requirement, so currently, there isn't a TURF file for that country.  However, if a distributor requests that we provide a TURF file for a particular country in which they are conducting commerce, we consider that request.  I suspect that is what you are referring to when you stated "the ball is in your park".  We are currently evaluating the request to provide a TURF file for Luxembourg.

In order to set your expectations, any new TURF functionality would be delivered in a software update to SmartSDR before a distributor had the capability to create a new TURF file for a country that is not currently supported.  So if a TURF for Luxembourg was to be provided, it would be available after the next release of SmartSDR.
