Turbotuner2 and FLex 6300

I am thinking of getting a 6300 and a Maestro unit so I can use them mobile on my next cross country drive next summer.  The Maestro would be awesome for this.  Currently, in my Jeep Wrangler I run a Kenwood TS480 HX and Turbotuner 2 for the Kenwood.  Is there a way to still use the Turbotuner2 with the Flex?  The Kenwood version of the Turbotuner plugs into the Kenwood via the DB9.  I realize the commands might be different of course.  Is there a workaround?  It would be great.  I realize I could just program an MFJ screwdriver controller for the bands, but some fine tuning (pun intended) might be needed and it is a lot safer while driving to avoid this.

Does the TurboTuner communicate with the radio via KenWood CAT commands?
