Anyone ever seen a behavior like this on a 6500? There doesn’t appear to SWR or RF. When using tune button to tune up the radio will stop transmitting and go back to receive. Never behaved this way till yesterday. You press tune 3 seconds later it drops back to receive When using hand or foot switch will transit as long as trigger is pulled and behaves normally. Would appreciate any thoughts or experience others have had. Other wise I will reinstall software and reload firmware on radio Mike NN9DD

Mike, suggestion.  Make sure you have ANT1 selected and connect this output to a dummy load, then see if you get the same results.

By any chance  in SSDR setup under the TX tab do you have a value set in the TX timeout ?   Sorry, doing this from memory so i may have the place wrong.  Its in the same tab where you set delays for TX or PTT1,2,3.
