Haven't seen a comment from Tim in quite a while.

I'm thinking you are fighting with Hurricane Florence - as I recall you are in NC.

You OK?

It is noticeable that virtually all the Flex staff and a lot of the elmers have not been posting for several weeks.

The recent low profile of Flex has been attributed, in a couple of other posts, to a change of policy. I haven't read anything direct from Flex though. My guess is that they decided their continued presence was not worth the time staff spent on here, vs sorting problems via help tickets.

IMHO it's a pity as their input was something that differentiated this forum from those of other manufacturers. If they have officially withdrawn, it's a shame they left it to rumour to let the customer base know.

Well, you may have that correct Paul. My guess is that it's not a "withdraw", as there are plenty of competent Elmers around almost every day, but rather a redistribution of company resources hopefully to get problems resolved more efficiently.

As a new member here - it was instantly clear to me that Tim was critically overburdened with literally hundreds of messages every week. Clearly not a good customer service strategy - so the change, formally announced or otherwise, was no surprise to me. Not an excuse, but maybe a somewhat acceptable reason.

These were the last two applicable communiques for reference:

This is an interesting conversation.  I submitted a trouble report last week, and within an hour, I got a response from Tim.  Within the next two hours, I had a solution and a UPS return label.  I am very happy with the speed of Flex Radio response, most especially Tim's.

Yep, he's been posting on Facebook some. I imagine he's got more important things on his mind (his family) than posting here.

Gerald did mention a while ago that Tim will be taking on new responsibilities, such as working on the new web site.
Flex has also taken a new approach to the comunity, but they are watching.

We are here.  Tim has taken on new responsibilities so he might not be quite as present.  This is primarily a user supported community but we try to check in when we can.  I don't have time to read it every day but I try to do it periodically.
