Tim,

I have had my 6700 for almost a year now and have been primarily working JT65 and JT9 with a little CW, PSK31, and SSB now and then. I normally use Fldigi for PSK31 although I am a novice in terms of utilizing its full capabilities.

I spent some time this afternoon trying to understand the "sweet spot" and how it could be utilized. I set my sweet spot at 1500 Hz, selected Filter 8 in Fldigi (3 KHz), called a station who was sending CQ and when he responded, I hit the QSY button which moved the 6700 slice frequency the appropriate amount to put him into the sweet spot, and then changed to Filter 1 in Fldigi which put him in the center of a 100 Hz filter. After the QSO, I moved the slice back to 14.070 MHz+1500 Hz which I had previously stored with the Store button. The band was not congested this afternoon, but if there was a lot of QRM, this might have made the difference between a solid contact and no contact at all.

None of this would have been possible without the SmartSDR.xml file that you wrote for Fldigi! I wonder what other cool features lie hidden for me to discover some day?

Anyway, Tim, I wanted to publicly acknowledge your fine work...thanks again!
