Swapping 2 slices including ANT

Hi,

Is there a way to swap slice A and B?  Including Frequency, mode, filters, RIT, ANT, AGC-T?  I would like to improve N1MM+'s Alt+F5 that swaps both frequencies and modes and typed callsign. Maybe with a CAT command? Or OTRSP command? Or two CAT commands (swap slices, swap ANT)? Or would I have to write my own client to do it? Any ideas?

Thanks and 73

I just tested my N1MM+ setup in CW mode and found that ALT+F5 swapped slices, antennas, filters, etc.  I have N1MM configured for SO2R.  I have Smart CAT configured to use a COM port for each slice and OTRSP.  I use a USB controlled relay connected to my 6600M to do antenna switching. I can send you screen shots if you like.  -Joe

Since you have your antenna switch integrated with the Flex, I guess you get it to do everything (I assume your ANT inputs do not move with Alt+F5 but your actual antennas follow on the external antenna switch).

I have not integrated my antenna switch as I do have a few multi band antennas, also sometimes more than one antenna for a band. I manually switch my Green Heron client on the desktop. I do not need/want any automatic switching. All I would be happy with would be to swap VFOs (which it does) AND swap VFOs receive ANT and transmit ANT. Basically, I want everying from slice 1 to move over to slice 2 and vice versa. Maybe this may need to be a custom client that I somehow integrate into a N1MM+ macro. Thinking...

Everything moves when I do ALT-F5.  It works just like you want it to.  What was on slice A is now on slice B.  Ant inputs move and my antennas switch moves.  Give it a try.

I did try. Slice 1 kept ANT1/ANT1 and Slice 2 stayed with ANT2/ANT2. I know that N1MM+ does not instruct the radio to change antennas. Could this be your profiles doing an implicit switch? 73 Andy KU7T

N1MM has the ability to switch antennas.  See the Antennas tab in the configurer. Maybe I have that configured.  I will check my config tonight and let you know how my antennas are being switched.

Andy I have been trying to figure how to do this with just the Flex as well. I have tried every combination and setting on the USB Cable setup and unfortuntely nothing does what we want.

I also use N1MM and will give ALT-F5 a try but I would prefer to handle the switching handled by the Flex not N1MM.

We have things Active Slice and TX Active, maybe we need NOT Active or RX Active :)

FRstack also has a swap feature. Simply right click on the slice in FRstack, select "Swap with" and a side menu opens of all other open slices for you to choose from. You can even setup hotkeys for this.
I would prefer SmartSDR and Maestro to have a SWAP button in the slice similar to the SPIT button.

I am trying to setup a SO2R using the SPE Expert 1.3k Amp. I won't go into how it works but I need to be able to swap Antennas as well. I did a little investigating and what is interesting is there is actually a CAT command called "FR" that reports which slice is Receiving and NOT in TX mode.

I wish there was a way under the USB Cables interface to query and/or send CAT commands. This might allow me to do what I need programatically without using additional hardware or software.
