Stuck sidetone

I had a strange problem arise just now.  I've been chasing 7P8C on 15m, split on CW, sending my call via CWX F1 macro and hitting ESC as soon as I heard him start to respond to someone.  All of a sudden my sidetone locked into a steady tone.  Changing modes or active slices wouldn't make it stop, nor would ending SSDR.  The radio was not transmitting, just generating the sidetone.  I had to power down the radio and bring everything back up.  Anyone else ever see this anomaly?

No, it's happened at least twice, on different days, but in similar circumstances.

Any clue if there is a triggering mechanism?

My only guess is that it has to do with interrupting the transmitted CWX macro sequence with the ESC key when running full QSK.

Rick, this occurred twice with my 6300. I can't say I could identify what caused this ... had to reboot to correct the condition.
