Strange problem with WSJT-X

While running WSJT-X, for some reason, the transmitter selected suddenly changes from Flex-6xxx to Ham Radio Deluxe with no warning.  I don't even have HRD installed.  I am using Slice-Master to couple WSJT-X with my Flex 6300.  Any suggestions as to how to cure the problem would be appreciated.Andy, k2oo

So....what you are saying is wsjt-x changes the radio for rig control from flex 6300 to Ham radio deluxe????  Are you using a tcp port for the flex rig control in wsjt-x?   I would eliminate slice master first.  My guess is that it is messing with the rig control tcp port.  Good luck.   Carl KP2L

Oh and make sure you are using the latest version of wsjt-x. That's version 1.9.1.

When using Slicemaster to launch WSJT-X this is normal behavior.

Thank you for your feedback.  I am no longer using Slicemaster, so, I hope that will solve the problem.

Andrew,

Why do you say that is a problem?  It should run just find like that.  When using Slice Master, it sets the configuration parameters for you.   I felt that HRD was the best choice for rig control, so that's what Slice Master uses.  It doesnt mean you have to have HRD installed.  It's just the rig control protocol that WSJT-X uses to change frequencies, transmit, etc.  WSJT-X talks directly to Slice Master with this protocol, then Slice Master uses its connection to the radio to pass the changes along.  .
