SSDR 1.3 Low power digital modes issue

I have seen a few reports with low power on digital modes with SSDR 1.3; with 1.2.17 behaving normally power-wise.

Could somebody please let me know if this is a confirmed issue or not?

The reason is that we have a long lounge, I will be at one end and my XYL watching TV at the other. Talking into a mike will not be possible whilst she is watching the TV so I need to get up to speed on digital modes ASAP and do not wish to be hindered by lower than expected output power whilst learning and testing.

TIA,

Totally understand the XYL issue. Have the same issue myself. Working a KP4 SsB from hotel room. XYL said to shut it down in spite of using headphones. 73's

No problem with power on digital from my 6700. Anyways u probably don't need or want too much power on most Digital modes as too much power causes high IMD which make u hard to copy.

U can work the world on a couple of watts with JT65.

I can confirm that there is a lower than normal power output issue with digital modes with 1.3.0.. But there is a work around.  1) if you have not already done so, save a TX profile for your digital mode set up. 2) select any other TX profile. 3) reselect your digital mode TX profile   Works for me every time..    There are several things that can put you into the digital low power mode.. 1) rebooting the radio, 2) selecting ssb mode than digital and 3) deselecting/changing the TX slice.

    YMMV

Official response from Tim was "There is something going on with the transmit levels. We have a defect listed for it and are actively investigating it."
