Maestro received and trying to use with my Laptop ATT wireless while travelling, I have the SoftEther VPN on my Home Network and works fine from the Laptop using Smart SDR 1.7.30.160 and that works now want to use the Maestro remote so I watched the Video by K6OWY and have the VPN SoftEther Bridge set up on my Laptop along with the RasperryPi on my home network with Soft Ether,

Anyone have their Maestro connected to their Laptop through the Ethernet RJ45 on the back and using the SoftEher Bridge VPN with the Home Network VPN? I must have one of the Check marks or Triggers set wrong on the SoftEther Bridge on my laptop. Anyone have it working and can provide a few hints.? Trying to use this till the Maestro has the VPN in the newer versions?

Thanks

Barry

    Hi Barry,

I did get your email.  I am swamped with my Field Day preparations but if you can't get this figured out,  I will be able to help you after FD.  I'm headed out of town tomorrow for the week-long trip.

    A few things to check:

On the Server side, do you see the Remote SoftEther Bridge account logged in?

If yes, and bridging isn't working, inspect that you have selected the proper ethernet interface as the bridged interface on the laptop.

If no, inspect the "cascaded connections" section on the SoftEther Bridge to make sure the FQDN, username & password are correct.

Remember, you cannot test this on your home network.  You must have your Laptop on an out-of-the-home internet connection to test this properly.
