smartSDR wants to downgrade radio

I just received my 6400 today, and I'm running into problems getting everything to work.  When I start SmartSDR, I get a screen with two options: log in or update. When I attempt to log in to SmartLink, it takes me back to the same screen, with no indication I'm logged in (and I have registered).  When I attempt to Update, a Radio Downgrade window pops up with the option to either downgrade  or cancel.  During all this, the radio on/off switch is solid green.

Both the radio and computer are connected to a gigabit Ethernet switch, which is in turn connected to a router then to the modem.

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

It sounds like the version of SSDR installed on your PC is an earlier version than the one in the radio. Did you install it from the CD that came with the radio? It could be that the CD is v2.1.32 while they may have upgraded the radio to v2.1.33 when it shipped. I would open a help ticket to be sure, but you will probably need to download v2.1.33 and install it on your PC. I am assuming that the new radios ship with Smart SDR on a CD like my 6300 did a few years ago.
