Eric - doesn't appear there's a resolution available in 3.0.24 for the uncompressed SSB audio. Is anything coming to address it?

No.  We discussed this issue at length today and we do have a solution coming.  But it will not be included in v2.5.0 or v3.0.24.  Hang in there.

Ya, I had to play with my Raspberry Pi all day waiting for 2.5. Reminds me how happy I was when everything went to WYSIWYG. Yes, even the Pi but it still needs lots of command line stuff to get it where you want it. Anyone working on FlexPi?

Please delay this release to incorporate the profile autosave options that are being discussed into this point release.  I cant see many people being happy with being forced to autosave a profile eveytime they change a profile setting.  Either way, I will wait to upgrade until there is an option to not autosave profiles.  I've spent way too much time carefully building complex profiles to have them overwritten by autosave.

We aren't going to hold the releases, but we are paying attention.  I don't have anything more to report at this time.  If this is a show-stopper for you, then I recommend that you stick with v2.4.9.

Eric, after reading all of the posts about this subject, I'm getting the impression FRS is fighting us (Flex owners) on this issue. If it remains as an 'auto save', then I too will not upgrade to 2.5. This is beginning to leave a bad taste in my mouth.....on the heals of the unresolved noise mitigation issues. 6600, Maestro-A.

We have heard loud and clear that there are some that do not like the feature.  Also some that don't like the idea of it (and haven't tried it yet).

I suggest that in the future Flex solicits input from Flex owners BEFORE changing existing features and/or functionality.

While I'm not going to commit that we are going to check with the community first before changing software, I will commit that we are listening and open to hearing about pain points you have with our products.  It is the best way to move forward.

Having said that, I think the saying goes that if Henry Ford had asked people what they wanted they would have said a faster horse.  Point being that sometimes the better solution is not obvious and the idea may even be unpopular at first.

At first, I was not sure how I would interact with autosave, but I have to say it
has not given me any problems here. I run version 3. Appreciate all you and
the others do, Eric. Keep up the good work.

A compromise?

I’ve been using v3 since it was initially released.  I had to adapt and change the way I use protocols, but I completely understand the users who feel stronger about this than I do.  I will be ok with whatever the final implementation decision is by Flex.

I have been caught in both scenarios.  Prior to the change, forgetting to save the protocol and after the change, messing up a saved protocol.  The messed-up protocol was easily corrected by restoring it from my backup.  Since I don’t have an strong opinion about this feature, I don’t feel the releases should be delayed significantly.  If there will be a considerable delay, then do two point releases.  I’m looking forward to the final implementation of auto-save, whatever it is.

Eric- re V3
I had reported that the red level indicator on slice 8 of DAX control panel did not visually register. The DAX channel did work, however.
Can not find a fix for that in the release notes or Change Log.

Bill -- I'm looking for this issue and haven't found it in a quick search.  Was there an issue number referenced?

Really wish Flex not post about software updates. They never come out when you say they will. Just post it when it is ready please.

Craig, that is the policy that Flex has, they do not post information of a upcoming release untill it is very close. They publish documents just before a release to let everyone get familiar with any changes.

Posting the release notes a day or two early is an excellent idea so those interested can read through them.

I would like to continue to know when FLex is close to a new release, along with info on what we can expect from it.
