Hi All

I'm using V1.11.12 on my 6500 and since I have installed it after a while (10-30 mins) when I start everything up Smart SDR crashes and says can't connect to the radio please reconnect,

Same setup since I got the rig over a year ago, any ideas is there a bug in 1.11.12??

Is there an error log built in?

Thanks
Trevor

    Trevor,

Running the same as you, with 1.11.12 and Flex 6500 with a Dell OptiPlex 780 computer.  Ran it the entire weekend for the ARRL 160 meter contest and we never missed a beat.  NOTHING what so ever happened.  It functioned flawlessly.

    Trevor,
I would suggest that your save and export your profiles and do a 'factory reset' of the radio..  If that seems to solve the problem than you can import you profiles and restore your profiles.

Trevor, yes there is still an outstanding bug in the firmware which can cause random disconnects. It was there in previous versions of ssdr post around 1.13. The current version sorted out some of the bugs but not all of them. In the case of my 6300 the frequency of random disconnects and crashes got worse. Frs are trying to nail it down but I have had to box up my 6300 and revert to using my ic7300 for contesting as the disconnects and random crashes were too frequent to rely on it for contesting. Hopefully frs will sort it out once and for all befor e the new radios ship into Europe . For your info I tried a new w10 pc and also tried full reset of the radio with new profiles - neither worked so it may be a problem you have to put up with until the bug is finally sorted. It only effects some radios or set ups as the majority seem to be unaffected . I will not be buying a 6600 until this bug is sorted out. 73 Steve gw0gei

There has not been enough information provided to ascertain that the radio is actually crashing, so jumping to a conclusion about what the issue might be is premature.

I have converted this topic to a support HelpDesk ticket (http://helpdesk.flexradio.com) for expedited issue resolution.  Please respond using the HelpDesk ticket for issue resolution.
