SmartSDR CAT is not launching

Hello, CAT app is not Launching. SmartSDR and DAX are launching and operating well. Can’t seem to access the CAT interface. Tried re-installing and still no luck. I see the CAT icon on my desktop, but nothing happens when double clicking on it. I am running Windows 10 on Microsoft Surface Tablet. Appreciate any help. Tnx in advance es 73 Hani - OD5TE

    Hani, do you see the CAT icon on your taskbar (at the bottom of the screen) when you double-click it (in case the window is positioned 'off-screen')? Another thing to do is right-click on the task bar (after running cat) and select Task Manager. When the Task Manager comes up, click on the Details screen and scroll down and see if you can find CAT in the list of running tasks.

    Usually the issue with SmartCAT not starting is the "Virtual Serial Port Service "   is not running in the System Services..     Find that service ,  go to Properties select "Automatic"  and start the service manually ...    Another way is to to go to the FlexRadioVSP  application in Programs and Features,  highlight and select "Repair"     this will also get it working .   Then you can start SmartCAT.

    Thank you Neal. Not showing in the task manager or taskbar. Once I click on the CAT icon to run it, I see a spinning wheel for a second and nothing happens. I suspect Dudley’s suggestion could resolve it.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
