SmartLink Connection Ports

I am trying to figure out how SmartLink works (basic stuff). So on the radio side I first created credentials. When that was done I think the next step was to register. So I am thinking at the time I registered the radio two ports were associated with my credentials. A TCP port in the range of 21xxx and a UDP port in the range of 22xxx. When I hit the test button SmartSDR talks to the router to see if UPnP is supported and if it is the router creates a port forward for the TCP and UDP ports to ports 4994 and 4993 which the radio is listening on. So is this correct or am I all wet???  Ok so now I am out and about with my Maestro and I want to connect to my radio. I log into my account on the Maestro and I see my radio. I then try to connect so I am thinking that SmartLink knows the ports it assigned  to my radio and my IP and the Maestro does its thing and hopefully we get connected. So once again is this what happens or am I all wet a second time??

Thanks,
Harry
