SmartLink and SmartSDR CAT

When using SmartLink and a laptop as remote client, can SmartSDR CAT be used on the laptop to provide frequency and mode to a logging program on that same laptop?

Can I use SmartSDR Cat with my 6500 at home to send frequency information to my autotuner AND use SmartSDR CAT on my laptop far from home for logging at the same time?
