How can I get a copy of 2.1.32?  I went online to upgrade my desktop from 2.0.19 but found that 2.1.32 was replaced by 2.1.33. I have 2.1.32 working on my laptop with no trouble. I read  where people were having problems with 2.1.33.

    Hi Buford

We pulled everything prior to .33 as there was a change in the Smartlink protocol (not our choice) and we needed everyone at .33.  Why don't you give it a try.  If you downloaded it .32 worked for you and you don't need SmartLink then you can use a version prior to .33.

If you use SmartLink, you need to be at .33 (or higher at some point).

For me, 2.1.32 was a huge problem partially because it would not stay connected to the radio or via remote connections, and as Michael has stated, a major protocol change upset every smartlink connection, which further forced the update to 2.1.33. For me, 2.1.33 fixed a few major fubars that had me going back to 2.1.30 until .33 finally served the fixes needed. You won't be dissappointed once you get it going.

The challenge is if you are operating remote, there is no way currently to upgrade the radio firmware unless you have a PC on the same LAN as your FLEX-6000 that you can access remotely (such as with TeamViewer) and perform a firmware upgrade.  Upgrading a radio remotely does have some inherent challenges.  There are times where a software version update may recommend a cold reboot of the radio after the firmware has been updated.  This would require the remote operator to have remote control over the radio's power supply and a remote switch to use the REM ON capability of the radio.

We do recognize the desire to be able to update firmware remotely and we have a feature request to provide this capability (#6157)
