Smart S-Meter Problem

Joseph Duerbusch
edited February 2019 in FLEX-6000 Signature Series
I am trying to use the Smart S-Meter with my Flex-6300.
It works fine by it self, it uses the CAT port 4.  But if I open up Writelog, I get a comport4 in use.  And Writelog cannot connect to Flex-Cat (same port).
Same way, if I start Writelog up, then CAT works fine for RigControl.  Then start Smart S-Meter, I get a 'CatPort busy!" error.  It seems to me if Smart S-meter was designed to use Flex-Cat, and Flex-Cat is only used for RigControl, then it should be designed to share the port?
What am I missing?

You'll need to create a CAT port for each application you want running simultaneously. Best bet is to have a unique COM port for each application, period, so you never have a conflict. In the CAR menu, go to the Serial Ports tab, and "Add a Port" for each - make them "dedicated" unless they're for PTT only.

    Enjoy!

Is Smart S-Meter an add on software for the Flex 6000 series?  Could you provide a link? I am unable to find it.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
