I thought it might
be fun to have us Flex users show a picture of their FlexRadio in
their shack.
Here is my 6600M in
my shack. It's in the rack on the left.

I see you have added some lighting under your shelf, may I ask hat your using? I just built a shelf similar to yours and adding a light strip looks like a nice addition.

Do you use the O-scope as a modulation monitor?

Tried to using the RF sample port on the back of my Comet CMX2300 meter but it is so non linear as to be worthless. I need to build a better RF sampler.

OUCH! 2 rich for my budget but thanks for the link. If I really want to know I will dig out my Motorola communications test set. Plus, the spectrum displays on the PowerSDR and Sdr Console with my SDRPlay show about everything you need to see.

I built both of these, and augmented them with minicircuits fixed attenuators.:

Here’s the setup. I only have so much space allowed, so I had to build up ;-) Home brew shelving., the monitors are on arms attached to the pipes holding up the shelves, so they swing out like doors to allow access to all the wiring for 12V, network, and antennas.
Love seeing the other shack photos, always give me ideas for my own shack.

When I traded in my IC7600 and a couple of other rigs for the 7600 I assumed it would help clean up the wiring mess in the shack. Here is the proof of how well it worked.

I have never had a shack where I could easily access cables. I am pretty sure part FCC rule part 97.1.xx something says you need to stand on your head and hold your mouth just right to reach a cable.

A friend got it from a vendor for top sales. It sat on their file cabinets in their front office until the bulb ballast burned out. One day I said, you need to get the light fixed as those things are very cool. His response was " I don't even want the thing in here, take it."

It certainly is. I sold it last week and ordered an amp about same power level that would auto band switch. I have owned the Hercules II and the mini frig sized power supply for over 15 years now. Served me very well. Was my last piece of Ten-Tec which I have owned many.

Michael AE0MW,
I've admired the Geochron products for a very long time, but hesitated because of the price. On the off chance you were not aware, they recently came out with a (much less expensive) digital version of Geochron that runs on a 4K display. It is truly a sight to behold!

W8QB, Thank you for the heads up, I appreciate you passing that along!
I was at Dayton for the unveiling, and it took me all of 30 seconds to decide I wanted one and here's a current picture of my shack... My shack feels much more complete now.
To be clear it's not the mechanical marvel that I fell in love with decades ago, but it's a very acceptable alternative!

My station pales in comparison to a bunch of the ones in this group, but it's mine hihi, and it works flawlessly for what I do so far. Thanks to Flex and all the "groupies" that come up with answers and suggestions to smooth things out.

Like Rich, I have very limited desktop space and the HF-AUTO didn’t fit. I have no reasonable way (spouse acceptance) to make operating area larger, so I had to go vertical (down).

Icom 820H 2 mtr/440. 2 good ole RF Applications digital watt meters. Combo Dankovi 8 relay usb switch / Ameritron RCS-10 to the antenna's. And a Sennheiser E935 mic.

6600M with NUC I5, 2 24" screens, Heil mic & phones, Vibroplex Code Warrior. A basic station to be sure, but A LOT of fun in retirement. Not visible on side wall: pen & ink signed photo portrait of Hiram Percy Maxim, ARRL Life Member plaque, DXCC certificate & FCC "diploma form" Amateur Extra license from 1970.

Agreed! I still run the Flex with W7 and Bootcamp. I have two mini’s in the shack with one dedicated to ham stuff and the other one for everything else.

What are the names or models of the mini's you reference...Tnx

They are Macs. MacMini’s. Both are running the latest Mac OS. The one I use with the Flex6700 is also running W7 using the Apple Bootcamp program. Dogpark Software has a MAC SDR program that mimics SmartSDR, but I haven’t switched to it yet. Note there are other programs for the Mac which allow to run Win OS and Windows software including SmartSDR....Parallels and Fusion are the most common examples.
Althoughit’s My personal opinion, I feel the Minis knock the socks off most PCs and have a very small footprint.

Also, love what looks like an old HQ-170 peeking out from the left. My dream receiver when I was a kid. Sold it to help finance our honeymoon (great deal - good RX, super good XYL 49 years later). Must be a kick to compare it to the Flex!!
Thanks for sharing.
