My Flex 6500 is gone.
While waiting for the 6600 to arrive, should I completely uninstall Smart SDR 1.11.12?
I am not concerned about retaining my old settings.  It does me good to go through the process occasionally.

Thanks, Dan KM6CQ

I am thinking not, especially if you have profiles saved.

Same here Dan, 6300 gone awaiting the 6600.
I usually uninstall the previous version and do a fresh new install but
I too would like to hear experienced opinion on this since there are
significant differences between the two versions or does it matter?

Your FLEX-6600 will require v2.x and will not run on v1.x. For those wanting to understand why, the short answer is that code must be added to support the new internal configuration and options of the FLEX-6400/6600.  Since we're providing v2.x with the new radio, it makes no sense to spend extra effort to add this code to an older release that customers are unlikely to use.  Your profiles are kept in the radio -- if you exported them before parting with the radio, you can import those into v2.x (and your FLEX-6600).  If not, I can't think of a reason to keep v1.x around.

Thank you Steve,

Will be uninstalling v1 and on to v2, growing a little anxious at the suspense.

I have uninstalled v1 each time without an issue one,
the next version always new my com port setup so I am assuming this will be no different in that respect.  I have com port assignments written down anyway just in-case along with saved profiles so no worries here.
