Setting up PGXL

In the setup instructions for the PGXL it indicates that a Tx Delay of 20 ms or more must be set (and enabled). In working on this step it appears I have to set the Tx Delay for every Profile I have created one by one. Is that correct ??

For each TX Profile.  It is a TX Profile parameter.  It does not appear to be dependent on the band.

I do wish we had a Profile Editor so we could make changes like this quickly, instead of via the radio GUI.

Is 20 ms for SO2R mode or always? 20 ms is a very loooong delay. The typical modern amp needs about 5-6 ms if using vacuum relays and less if pin diodes.

20 ms is the minimum for the PG XL for all operating styles, not just so2r

Thanks. This begs the question why. Such long delays are usually associated with the slow, open frame relays from the past. Today’s relays are in the 5-10 ms range and can be further “accelerated” by some simple “tricks” as implemented by Acom, Alpin, etc.

I don’t know that answer. Dave

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
