set up multiple instances with wsjt-x

I understand using slice master to run multiple copies of wsjt on the same SSDR Flex, however, what I am trying to do is to be able to run one copy with the 6700 and with the other copy I want to run using the 1500. Using the 1500 requires VAC instead of DAX and vspmgr to create the necessary com ports separate from those created by CAT. I installed the wsjt for the 1500 in its own folder, however, the problem is that it appears there are many variable maintained in the appdata/local/wsjt-x which appears to be a common file that holds the variables used in the setup thus a change in running one version and then running the other version changes have to be made in setup. The pc is running Windows 10. I am looking for some suggestions.

Which variables are common? I have 4 instances of WSJT-X setup for my Flex and one instance setup for my Icom 9100

With multiple instances of WSJT-X you will need to setup different names for the WSJT-X instances. Slice-Master takes care of that overhead for you. I use Slice-Master but also setup separate instances to start manually if I want as I did this before learning of Slice-Master. You will get a different setup file for each name you setup.
Your situation may require this for one of your radios.
There is documentation on the community on setting up a shortcut to start an instance with a different name. Here is an example if it helps. JTAlert-x if you use it only uses one setup for multiple instances but is a little messy in that I have to close and restart JTAlert-x to get the windows matched with the WSJT-X instances.
Here is the shortcuts I setup for different names and when started you will see the name in the Upper left corner of WSJT-X. The instance starts with the following paramaters C:WindowsSystem32cmd.exe /k wsjtx --rig-name=flex66001
This may help.

If you use the process mentioned below by Bill you will find all the information i.e., ini file and other info stored in the AppDataLocalWSJT-X - ****.0

Thanks Bill. The process for me required a minor change in the "Target" and the "Start in" now I can now I can run copies of WSJT-X on different radios primarily because of the different radio types and the com ports.
