I purchased a 6700 at Dayton. Now that I'm satisfied with the new radio, my 6300, purchased new from Flex in October 2014 is surplus. Everything is as new. It has the ATU. What is the going price?
To give you an idea, I paid $2100 (including shipping/insurance) for my used 6300 (new from factory in October of 14 as well) in February of 2015. This was a no frills 6300, and didn't come with the ATU or Flex Control. I bought this on QTH's swapmeet, and most Signature Series radios sell quickly on that site.
I think $2250-$2300 would be a reasonable place for you to start considering it has the ATU...
80% of the new price would be $2238. 85% of the new price would be $2378, and 90% of the new price would be $2518.
I imagine a used 6300 should bring between 80% and 85% of new cost at this point. Get more if you can. Most people probably wouldn't pay 90% unless it was almost new and had most of its warranty left.
thinking of a second Flex 6xxx - whats the rx diff from 6500 to 6300 - BPF? ATU extra.. 2 slice rx ?? what about rx performance .. I saw its a smaller bandwidth on the panadapter .. what about MDS or weak signal recovery capability vs the 6500?? Def in the market for a second 6000 to drive my EME stack :)
I haven't looked into the 6500 therefore I have no comparison. Seems like the 6300 does about all I want for now. However I'm not a DX'er and I don't chase paper. Just more of a rag chewer I suppose. I usually work one band on the 6300 and listen for another such as 6 meters or 10 or 12. 73 Jim
The ARRL did reviews on the 6300 and 6700 side by side a few months back in QST, and that would give you a great comparison between the 65/6700 and the 6300.
