I would think there should be a way in SmartLink that I could remove the radio myself

I think this may work,
Change your SmartLink login Password and if you logged in using Google or facebook change them to.
better be safe then sorry for sure

The radio serial number is registered on the SmartLink server to your account. Open a Help Desk ticket with serial number of old radio and Flex can purge it from the server manually.
For anyone else selling or trading in their radio, make sure to unregister the radio first.
