SAM Mode Causes SDRcat to Crash

Hi All,

I am using a Flex6500 running version 1.2.1 and SDRcat V1.2.3.0.
Windows 7 Pro operating system.

Every time I select SAM mode SDRcat crashes.

Initially I thought it was just when I changed bands and the SAM mode was selected but I have noticed that it is every time I select SAM mode.
This causes the SDRcat to crash, I have recreated on all bands and used all modes, then as soon as I select SAM it crashes.

I have rebooted the computer and radio and reset the radio back to default settings but it is exactly the same, SAM = SDRcat crash.
Not a major problem, as soon as I start SDRcat again it works fine as long as I am not in SAM mode.

Anybody else had this problem.

Peter

Yes, but I've only seen it crash when using my Dell Venue 8 Pro running under Win 8.1. No CAT crashes in SAM when using my main PC running under Win 7 Pro. On the tablet, I can get CAT back after selecting SAM but any subsequent mode change causes CAT to crash again.

Peter.  SmartCAT v1.2.8 is the latest version and was released with SmartSDR v1.2.1.  You will need to follow the instructions in the Release Notes to update your SmartCAT driver.  That should fix you up!

Ok Greg thanks for that, I thought it had updated when I installed the new software.

    I will update it immediately.
