How are you routing audio from the radio?  To headphones or speakers connected directly to the radio hardware or through your PC using PC Audio?

So, you are routing all your audio from the radio to a laptop.  I suspect the problem is with your PC sound card.  You may want to try updating the drivers.

I also suspect that if you connect speakers or headphones directly to the radio, this problem will not occur, confirming my suspicion.
