Rounded TX spikes in FT8 mode

When transmitting FT8, I see momentary rounded peaks on the scope.  It happens 2 or 3 times during a transmission.  I have restarted DAX, the problem persist.  I am wondering if these are being caused by RF getting into the system, or another issue.

Try turning down the TX Gain In your DAX TX Stream, That peak line needs to stay down a ways from the top the average around 10 on the SSDR Level indicator.  no red to the radios level.

Weird stuff starts happening if the gain is too high.  That's one idea.  There's two spots in the FT8 exchange where if this was RTTY I'd think there were a CR-LF, Only those who programmed FT8 know what its doing.  Almost sounds like a crackle to my ear when its doing that.

There's a sweet spot with the gain.  If its too low, you won't get answers often enough.  If its too high you won't get answers at all.  TRy changing your aftershave, I have a special FT8 perfume that draws em in like magic.  Good Morning...  :-)  Erika DD
