The manual makes reference to section 32.1 on how to move the rit to knob b but that section doesn’t seem to reference it, is it possible to move the rit adjustment to knob b on a maestro?

Yes:  With "A" in control of the slice tuning, Press and momentarily hold the the "RX" button just above the  "B" knob.  To cancel the RIT press the "B" knob.  Doing the same on the "TX" button will enable the XIT

I should have said pressing the "RX" button again will cancel the RIT function, like wise on the TX button for XIT.  Pressing the B knob brings the RIT back to TX frequency, but the RIT function is still enabled
